Julia Balfour is a Toronto-based abstract artist. The forms in her paintings are traces of her personal experiences, deeply influenced by colour. Her abstract works emphasize the importance of colour in its most elegant and pure form. She uses watercolour to develop layers, allowing the colour to shape and define the composition.
In addition to being exhibited in Toronto galleries, Julia’s original work has been featured in numerous public collections, including installations at the Lighthouse Tower and Park Hyatt Toronto.
